MU Research Reactor Center – University of Missouri - Columbia

Contract Amount:  $5,195,000

This design/build project consisted of a new one-story office space and laboratory facility with a second floor mechanical penthouse.  SIRCAL coordinated the entire design/build process from the structural design of the facility to coordinating and implementing the necessary components to provide the infrastructure for future nuclear/radiation research in this facility. The project was finished with furniture installation to provide a complete turn-key design/build project for the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Linn State Technical College Activity Center

Contract Amount:  $8,573,130

This upscale 71,420 square foot facility is the first of its kind in Osage County.  Three gymnasium floors compose the greatest part of the multipurpose area on ground floor, drive-in doors allow the space to be used as an exhibit area.  The facility also includes a walk/run track, fitness area, locker rooms, short order food service and game area.  The basement is a safe shelter with accommodations for 2,500 people. 

Life Science Business Incubator – University of Missouri - Columbia

Contract Amount:  $6,402,893

This multiple phase project was completed through a design/bid/build method. It is a new center utilized as both a biomedical and technology base for business startups.  Leasing of this space is for individuals or companies for development of products discovered through research.  Housed under the 34,000 square feet, the facility offers tenants furnished office space, full administration services, an event and training room, a board room, state-of-the-art designed dry and wet lab spaces, and a glass wash/autoclave room.

Scruggs Residence Hall – Lincoln University, Jefferson City, Missouri

Contract Amount:  $11,999,400

The new 72,500 square foot, four-story residence hall and site development overlooks the Lincoln University campus and consists of two variations of suite-type living with four students in each suite, totaling 57 units and 225 beds.  This project is an example of skillful craftsmanship and quality construction keeping within the integrity of the century-old campus structures.

Taylor Stadium Renovations – University of Missouri - Columbia

Contract Amount:  $1,457,893

New outfield padding and graphics, repainting of the stadium seating, new outfield masonry walls and new bull pens and dug outs are a part of the modifications for the Taylor Stadium.  A structural-framed building, constructed of both structural and metal stud framing, is designed to house an indoor batting cage, observation room and meeting forum.

Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute, Missouri School of Journalism – University of Missouri - Columbia

Contract Amount:  $16,090,000

A joint-venture with Kozeny-Wagner, this project included the complete renovation of the Sociology Building and a major portion of Walter Williams Hall in addition to the construction of a new four-story link between the two buildings.  Extensive shoring and underpinning work was completed in order to add an additional floor to the Sociology Building.  Other features included dimension stone cladding along with masonry restoration of the existing buildings, new ornamental metal work to match existing, new windows and entryways, skylights, ceramic tile and terrazzo flooring, interior stone restoration, new elevator and updated mechanical and electrical systems.
